OUR MISSION>

The Diocese of Virginia’s summer camp program at Shrine Mont promotes the emotional and spiritual development of children, youth, and young adults through the fostering of a safe and positive environment for all. It is the goal of this program to encourage the growth of relationships with self, others, and God.

At Shrine Mont Camps, we strive to create a diverse and safe community that welcomes campers and staff from all backgrounds. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, creed, color, national or ethnic origin, physical or mental ability, or sexual orientation in the administration of any of our programs. All camp activities will promote and maintain the personal and emotional safety of all campers and staff.

MEDICAL INFORMATION NEEDED FOR EACH CAMPER

Each camper that attends Shrine Mont Camps needs the following medical information on file:

1) a doctor-signed physical examination form (either your doctor's office's form, a state school entrance form, or a sports physical form). This MUST BE FROM WITHIN THE LAST 15 MONTHS. This is required by state law in Virginia, and without a doctor-signed examination record, your camper cannot attend camp. The only exception to this rule is Family Camp, where families live together and parents can consent to the medical treatment of minors in person.

2) An online Health History parts 1-4 for each camper. This is accessed by logging into the parent portal and clicking on "forms" on the menu. A new page with missing or completed forms will appear, and you will see the Health History parts 1-4 as part of this. The information included here allows for reports and quick accessing of camper data regarding emergency contacts, allergies, medications, etc.

Campers without physicals on file will NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAY AT CAMP.

Campers without Health History parts 1-4 on file will HAVE to fill out this information before they are allowed to leave their child at camp.
