2021 Camper Registration
We made a change on our database and it reopened enrollment spaces. Unfortunately, this is incorrect and we fixed the issue. We are now implementing manual enrollments to avoid future confusion. Please contact the Registrar at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns.
Currently, our database restricts campers from enrolling in more than one session. On May 17th, we will open enrollment for additional sessions based on availability. If you are interested in enrolling in a second session email Lindsay at email@example.com and we will manually add your camper to the waitlist for now.
We use campsite to manage our registrations and required documents for camp. Please use the links below to create an account or manage your family profile.
Camper Capacity & Waitlists
Because we are operating a different model with reduced weekly capacity, we anticipate waitlists and have plans in place to manage them. We think that between now and camp, our capacity may increase, so if you want to attend the session, add yourself to the waitlist! We will communicate frequently to inform families on waitlists with updates.
This summer, we are developing a new method of building cabin groups and cohorts. We understand that it is important for many reasons for your camper to get a chance to go to camp "with" people they love and trust. As a part of the registration process, you can request that your camper be in a cabin or group with any other campers. We ask that you indicate 1-3 preferred requests. We will create cabin and cohort assignments with thoughtfulness around your requests and while we may not be able to honor multiple requests for each camper, we will make sure that each camper has at least one request honored. You are encouraged to share any information that might help us make the best cabin groups possible.
Multiple Camp Weeks
Some have asked if it will be allowed for a camper to register for multiple sessions of camp . We do not have a policy that prohibits campers from attending more than one session of camp this summer. But, we ask that if your camper is registered for a session of camp, you consider adding them to the waitlist of subsequent sessions. Our hope is that as many campers as possible will attend a session of camp this summer. Please contact Paris Ball if you would like to talk about a specific situation, or to begin a new waitlist.
COVID Related Policies and Practices
At the moment, we are still considering many factors, paying attention to what is emerging, and developing our official COVID-related policies and practices. The FAQ page contains many details that will be included in our plans, and we will share everything with families as it is more developed. There will be multiple opportunities to learn, discuss, and understand camp practices throughout the spring and early summer. Our hope is to create plans and programs that are safe and still embody all the love, silliness, and welcome that are essential to our camps.
2021 Pricing Information
Tiered Pricing Details
Recognizing that families have different abilities to pay, Shrine Mont Camps has created a voluntary three-tier fee program for 2021. During registration, families choose the tier that is most suitable for their budget and situation. No matter your choice in tier, all campers receive the same experience. This Tier Program offers the opportunity for families to take an active role in choosing the cost of their child's camp experience.
The camp scholarship fund will remain available to all campers who need assistance beyond Tier A to pay for camp.
Here is what the three tiers represent
Tier A - This is our historical rate, which is subsidized for all campers and does not reflect the true cost of running summer camp programs. This is the rate you have always paid, and makes our camps available to more families.
Tier B - This rate reflects the costs of summer staff and some supplies and administrative costs. This tier is partially subsidized but offers families the opportunity to give a little more.
Tier C - This rate reflects most closely the true cost of camp. It includes the day to day costs of Tier B plus costs of our chaplaincy program, all supplies and other operational expenses. In 2021, this rate also includes the additional costs of our COVID-related supplies. Families that are able to choose this rate are partnering with Shrine Mont Camps to provide much needed upgrades and grow for the future.

2021 Family Weekend Prices
A note about Family Weekend Pricing
As there are already several rates associated with Family Weekends, we will not be offering a tiered price model for this program. The listed prices most closely represent what our Tier B would look like: it is partially subsidized but does include some overall camp expenses.
All scholarship assistance is still available for families who need it. Please indicate on your registration form if you would like the scholarship request form.
Basic Registration Information
We are encouraging families to register online in 2021. If you need someone to walk you through, or would prefer a paper form, contact Paris Ball ()
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
Campers must be within the specified ages on the first day of their camp.
Campers are expected to be present for the entire session. They may not come late or leave early.
A $75 non-refundable deposit per camper per session must accompany the registration. (This will be applied to your total fee.) Registrations without deposits will not be processed. Make checks payable to Shrine Mont Camps.
A health form is required as part of registration. This form is required for ALL participants and MUST be returned NO LATER THAN June 7, 2021!
You have two options for returning the health form:
1) You may have a doctor sign off on the health form we provide, and return that on its own.
2) You may return the health form (signed by a parent/guardian) along with proof of a recent doctor's physical examination (examination must be completed within the past 15 months).
Shrine Mont Camp is a wonderful experience for campers, however, there are some conditions that we are unable to accommodate. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child's health conditions, we strongly encourage you to contact Paris Ball prior to registering your camper.
The terrain at Shrine Mont is hilly and uneven, requiring some agility and stamina.
Inform us of necessary accommodations for dietary restrictions, health concerns, and any behavioral or developmental differences by May 3, 2021 so that we can prepare adequately.
People come to Shrine Mont to celebrate being a part of the family of God. The cost of camp should not keep any child from attending.
Scholarship forms are available online here.
Families are STRONGLY encouraged to inquire of their clergy or senior warden about the availability of scholarship aid at the parish or regional level.
Scholarship requests will be responded to on a rolling basis, please fill out the information form as you register. Please contact Paris Ball to discuss any situation or concern.
2021 CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Cancellations should be made in writing.
We cannot refund your deposit after you are accepted, unless The Diocese of Virginia cancels the event.
For cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the first day of camp, a 50% penalty will be assessed. One exception to that would be a camper who is sick or has been exposed to COVID. We will work with families to make sure that they receive a refund in that scenario.
It is the explicit policy of Shrine Mont and the Diocese of Virginia that possession or use of controlled substances, nonprescription drugs, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, fireworks and dangerous weapons is prohibited at all youth camps and conferences.
